Dahab

Dahab is a small bedouin village at the Gulf of Aqaba (90 km north of Sharm-El-Sheikh). Dahab means gold in Arabic, and it is a real treasure for windsurfers! The temperature differences in the desert ensures thermal reinforcement of the wind in summer, making Dahab the windiest spot close to Europe. Only 3-4 hour flight - and you'll find the magnificant windsurfing spot with 3 surf areas with different conditions, good wind and warm water.

Reports:

What a great place!! Windsurfing was so much fun there, for pros, medium (like me...), and for new windsurfers (my girlfriend...), whole day of surfing just in front of our hotel, we stayed in swiss inn, really friendly people and great place, the guys from the website www.dahab.net helped us with the organisation of our trip. We will come again, too good... (thanks to Tommy for this report)
